Thursday 8 March 2018

PBS 106.7FM is excited to announce an amazing live line-up for International Women’s Day. We’re busting open the studio doors and inviting you to join us for an afternoon of live bands, cold beers and downright good times.

On Thursday March 8 we’re taking a break from usual programming to celebrate the amazing women within the Melbourne music community. From 5 until 7pm, PBS will bring four live acts to the station and the airwaves for a celebration of epic proportions.

The line-up speaks for itself:
Fang It! live for International Women’s Day *FULLY BOOKED*
Camp Cope
Hospital Pass
Adalita
Lazertits

Born over backyard tattoos in 2015, Camp Cope has since become an undeniable force in the Melbourne music scene and worldwide. Camp Cope bring their scathing and scorching raw energy to their live sets, exploring cycles of life, loss and growth through resilience, and those moments of finding and being yourself. They join us off the back of their much anticipated second album, How to Socialise & Make Friends, due out March 2nd. All hail rock & roll royalty, Adalita. Adalita will take a break from work on her highly-anticipated third studio album, to join us for a solo performance.

Fresh from supporting the likes of The Peep Tempel, Spiderbait and The Courtneys, plus the release of their debut album, Not Punk, Per Se, Lazertits’ highly infectious style of fuzzy brat punk is exactly what you need to kick off a celebration. And rounding out the program - super duo, Hospital Pass. Made up of two of Melbourne’s finest guitarists, Lisa MacKinney and Bonnie Mercer, Hospital Pass deliver fully improved feedback drenched performances that are uniquely beautiful.

THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED.

Fang It! Live for International Women’s Day will also be broadcast nationally on community radio stations via the Community Radio Network (CRN), and Frankie Magazine will continue the celebrations with an exclusive video premier of Camp Cope’s live performance in the following days – so keep an eye out!
