The Mothership

Declan James
Presented by Declan James
heard fortnightly, next on air Wednesday, 29 March 2017 - 2:00am to 6:00am

Join the agents of supergroovalisticprosifunkstication aboard The Mothership as we take a journey in search of the wildest and heaviest funk. Exploring both time and space for the perfect groove, the only pre-requisite required to travel is that the music be funky.

Music aboard The Mothership has a heavy emphasis on the down beat (or 'the one'), and you will hear everything from p-funk, to the countless hip hop and electronic artists who have sampled it. Expect the unexpected, as the rhythm can be found in the most unlikely of places.
If you like your music long and loud, nasty and uncut; then kick back and dig, 'cause The Mothership has landed.
