Thu 13 Aug 2015 to Sun 23 Aug 2015

Melbourne’s inner south is warming up for a 10 day artistic feast from August 13 to 23. The festival embraces the strong artistic communities of Prahran, Malvern, Armadale, Toorak, Windsor and South Yarra, with everything from comedy clubs to cinema, theatre, roving performers and live music. The festival’s diverse program offers something for arts lovers of all ages and persuasions.

This year, the festival will comprise five feature events.
An open-air ice skating rink will be set up in the centre of Prahran, surrounded by projections, installations, performances and food stalls. This magical mash of must-sees is the Glow Festival Hub, constructed from an assortment of shipping containers and raw materials, and provides free live entertainment throughout the festival.

A short stroll away in Market Lane, Flicks + Feasts is back by popular demand, offering four nights of classic films paired with matching cuisines alongside Prahran Market. This year, the program includes Blue Hawaii (1961), Spirited Away (2001), Bride & Prejudice (2004) and The Italian Job (1969), teamed with American, Japanese, Indian and Italian dishes from local food trucks.

Chapel Off Chapel will host the return of Comedy Club, with a stellar line-up of Australian comedians including Fox FM’s Dave Thornton, Nova FM’s Tommy Little, Cal Wilson and Michael Chamberlin.

The team behind the Gertrude Street Projection Festival will be heading south for the first time to light up one of Prahran’s most iconic streets – Greville Street – with a kaleidoscopic exhibition of shapes, colour and light.

Arts Burst will take over the streets of Stonnington on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August, with a vibrant and eclectic display of roving performances, installations and music.

Ticket prices are as follows:
Open-air Ice Skating Rink: $18 adult, $10 child, free for kids 6 and under with adult ticket purchase
Glow Comedy Club: $35 adult, $25 concession
