This week on State of the Art, Cat and Crispi spoke to Francesca Valmorbida from Stonnington about the Glow Festival. The City of Stonnington’s Glow Winter Arts Festival launched in 2014 with over 50 events taking place across Stonnington. Thousands of festival goers got into the spirit when the Exxopolis Luminarim took centre stage on the Jam Factory rooftop.
The festival embraces the strong artistic communities of Prahran, Malvern, Armadale, Toorak, Windsor and South Yarra, with everything from comedy clubs to cinema, theatre, roving performers and live music.

Matt Walters and Fiona Meldrum from Parlour Gigs/Oxjam will also be coming in.
Parlour gigs empowers people to bring live music into their homes. Parlour is a platform gigs connect artists and hosts and allow them to share house shows with the world. OXJAM is super excited to partnering with Parlour because we’re all about supporting local music with a global impact. As part of the OXJAM month-long festival of DIY gigs Parlour is hosting a string a shows in Sydney and Melbourne with $2 from every ticket sale going towards Oxfam Australia. It’s a wonderful partnership between two organisations that believe in the Australian music scene and want to create closer connections between artists and their fans.
