2. And An A | Affirmation | Closed Circuits: Australian Alternative Electronic Music Of The '70s & '80s Volume 1
- Originally released as one of only two ever singles from this Perth band in 1985. Now released on this excellent compilation on Festival Records.
3. Hello Satellites | Are You Here Because You Fell? | Bright Face
- From 3rd album by local band led by Eva Popov released in June. Album launch is at The Gasometer Hotel on Sunday afternoon w/On Diamond + Nick Tsiavos.

4. Charles Jenkins & The Zhivagos | The Last Polaroid | The Last Polaroid
- From brand new 5th album. Album launch is at The Gasometer Hotel on the afternoon of Sunday July 23rd. Charles will be a guest on Radio City next week.
5. Rebecca Barnard | All At Sea | Music For Listening And Relaxation
- From her 3rd solo album and first in 7 years. Playing at Basement Discs tomorrow afternoon at 12:45.
6. Peter Perrett | Sweet Endeavour | How The West Was Won
- From the excellent debut solo album by the former frontman of The Only Ones, released in June.
7. XTC | Making Plans For Nigel | Drums And Wires
- I am just obsessed with this band at the moment and this is one of their better known classic songs. From their 3rd album, released in 1979.

8. The Undertones | Teenage Kicks | The Undertones
- All-time classic track by legendary Irish band who are touring Australia for the first time. Although original singer Feargal Sharkey isn't in the band, singer Paul McLoone has been in the band since 1999 and all other members are original. Playing at The Corner Hotel on Fri night w/Tyrannamen + Parsnip.
9. X | I Don't Want To Go Out [Live] | X-Citations: Best Of X And Rarities - The Early Years 1977-1983
- From latest compilation of great Aussie Punk band. X will be playing at The Prince Bandroom tomorrow night as part of their 40th anniversary tour w/Intoxica + Kill Dirty Youth.
10. Wet Lips | Space Jam | Wet Lips
- From debut album released earlier in July. Album launch is at The Gasometer Hotel on July 22nd w/Terrible Truths, Pillow Pro & DJ Emoceans.
11. Beaches | Void | Second Of Spring
- First single from forthcoming 3rd album, a double, to be released on September 8th.

12. Mikelangelo And The Tin Star | Action | The Surf 'n' Western Sounds Of...
- Mikelangelo has but together a 'Best Of' show consisting of highlights from his many bands over the years. The Tin Star were his surf group with this album being from 2011. The Best Of Show will be at The Flying Saucer Club in Elstenwick on Friday night. He will also be playing a 'By Request' show as part of Some Velvet Nights at Some Velvet Morning on Sunday night.
13. Los Straitjackets | Shake And Pop | What's So Funny About Peace, Love And Los Straitjackets
- From this Surf Instrumental group's recent tribute album to Nick Lowe.
14. Chris Russell's Chicken Walk | Drive All Night | Drive
- Playing with Spoonful at The Evelyn Hotel on Friday night for the Leaps And Bounds Festival.
15. Nancy Sinatra | Lightning's Girl | Nancy's Greatest Hits
- Originally released as a non-album single from 1967. Jules from La Bastard played this on Musical Chairs last year on The Breakfast Spread so it seemed fitting to play this classic leading in to their Studio 5 Live Session.
