Formed in late 2011, Nun started life as a recording project for members Jenny Branagan, Tom Hardisty (Woollen Kits), Steven Harris and Hugh Young (Constant Mongrel / Hamhock).

 

Their new LP THE DOME opens with a track named ‘Wake In Fright’, and presents a conceptual framework inspired by R. Buckminster Fuller that arms the record with a cohesive horror.

Out 20 July, the album, which sits on a darker and more electronic plane to their previous EP, takes their staple of 808 kick drums and tight vocal harmonies into almost Little Dragonesque territories. Mind Full sees the band experiment with frenetic drum programming, cascading synthesizers and intimate vocals.

Hidden down Whitehart Lane in Melbourne's CBD, Whitehart Bar is a unique outdoor container bar which has become known for its rotating food trucks on site, a spacious yet cosy vibe, delicious cocktails and a wide variety of beers.

DJs play from Thursday-Saturday and occassionally Sunday as well as live performers.
