PBS has been busy restoring its archive of analogue reel-to-reel tapes to preserve the incredible collection of live performances recorded by keen volunteers during our early days; fledgling local bands and already famous international artists passing through Melbourne, recorded in the pubs and concert venues of the time.

We’re now proud as punch to be able to bring these historic and valuable audio documents to you From The Vault.

For the first time, PBS’ history has been collated in print and made available to the public. PBS' 40-year book features rare and (in some cases) previously unseen photos, posters and other historical artefacts to capture the rich and diverse history of the station and our music community.
