The fifth instalment of the Melbourne Latin Festival with a touch of Arabian Nights is heading our way April 5-7, 2013
Natalie and Pauline Montano again secured some of the finest performers and instructors from Australia and abroad with names such as Chiquito & Alice of Dominican Power (Italy/DR), World Caberat Salsa dancers Vera Rowe & Uriel Garcia (USA) , Mariano Neris (USA), Jaime Jesus (NSW), Kadu and Larissa (QLD) as well as other 25 artists which will instruct workshops and perform during the weekend.
The Arabian Nights theme will bring out the belly dancer in you with vibrant colours of Gold, Purple and Emerald throughout the venue. There will be roving Belly Dancers, Shisha’s and Arabic food to add spice to the event and maybe even a camel or two.
There will be performances from local, interstate and international artists and schools each night with our Gala evening occurring on the Saturday evening with a two hour theatre live show. Then it’s dancing till 2am with 12 piece Latin Band ‘Quarter Street Orchesta’ and three dance rooms which will be pumping with festival goers.
Sunday evening will feature a touch of Brazil with Live Batucada drumming and Samba dancers to add to the already great atmosphere.
