Since its inception in 2006, IFF has grown from a small local event into a non-for-profit arts organisation with year-round programming. With the establishment of IFF Inc., it is our hope to enhance all the heady zest of the festival and to cater for a wider range of Indonesian movie enthusiasts from all walks of life. The Indonesian Film Festival is going to host a feast of cinematic delicacies from the top range of Indonesian movies for 7 days in Winter 2011, heavily garnished with a range of special events that will feature the casts and directors of the featured films. The Indonesian Film Festival will hopefully continue to grow and receive its support from every element of the Australian and Indonesian community.
The inaugural 6th Indonesian Film Festival will be the largest celebration of Indonesian screen culture held in Australia, showcasing an eclectic range of art house cinema from a particular corner of the globe often known for its striking beauty and rich culture. Held during August, 19th – 25th at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) - Melbourne.
6th Indonesian Film Festival: 19-25 August 2011
