You may know U.S. electronic artist RJD2’s work if you’ve ever watched the TV series Madmen- his tune "A Beautiful Mine" is the theme song. Now he has teamed up with Philadelphia vocalist Aaron Livingston to form Icebird, and their debut release is a soulful, funky treat.
Livingstone has formerly guested with The Roots but comes into his own with Icebird. Both artists have sought to bend genre boundaries, resulting in a tight collaboration of 60s style guitars, jumping beats and soulful twists and turns.
