In these very special shows, Australia's favourite French-Morocan born Albare will be performing his latest album, ONLY HUMAN, with the same players who brought it to life in the studio. And it's a pretty freakin' impressive bunch of players, drawn from every corner of the world.
Under the auspices of the International Travel Diary Supergroup we have Albare on guitar, joined by his longtime wingman and Grammy Nominee drummer Venezuelan born New York City based, Pablo Bencid, (Pablo was recommended to Albare by Mexican-born four-time Grammy Award-winning drummer Antonio Sanchez). On Piano Cuban born and raised Axel Tosca Lauguart, now based in NYC, Axel is one of the most exciting pianist in the New York Jazz scene today… On the bass, from Porto Rico, Ricardo Rodriguez, a regular on Chick Corea’s current lineup. The latest addition to the band is internationally renowned percussionist Venezuelan born and raised, Latin Grammy Nominee Luisito Quintero. Luisito is the current lineup of both Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea’s bands. Luisito has started touring with Albare over the last 12 months. This is his first Australian appearance. He is the most in demand percussionist on the planet today.
