This week's Feature Album comes from acclaimed Australian drummer and songwriter Alexander Flood with his genre bending LP The Space Between.
The Space Between marks Flood's second full-length release and one which explores different musical genres from around the world.
Featuring international collaborators at the top of their field including MC Nelson Dialect on the hard-hitting hip-hop influenced track 'All for the Pocket', and GRAMMY nominated trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah on the contemporary jazz track 'Pathways'.
On the album, Flood says:
"The Space Between is really about exploring the space between genre and boundary and blurring the lines between these different sounds, influences, instruments and cultures of music. I wanted to be able to present this diverse palette of music in a way to celebrate what unites us together and the differences that define our uniqueness and diversity. Through this release my goal is to be able to help expand and diversify our listening experiences as a society."
The Space Between is out now via Ropeadope.
