Crank the coffee machine and pick up some pastries – the Breakfast Spread are inviting early birds into the PBS studio on Thursday, 19th December to help them farewell co-host Maddy Mac. It's her final program with The Breakfast Spread which will also be winding up until next year. The team will be joined by very special guests performing at PBS on the morning including Adalita, Fraser A. Gorman, Courtney Barnett, Cash Savage and Mikelangelo.
Crispi and Maddy have joined you each weekday morning to scratch every musical itch, as they presented a full gamut of musical styles, international and community news, specials, gig guides, arts happenings, guests, laughs, yawns, air guitar, and a whole lot more.
Maddy has been a prominent figure at PBS, initially hosting Australian music show Homebrew before then joining Crispi as co-host of The Breakfast Spread where she has helped listeners rise and shine for the past two years. Maddy has also been integral to PBS in her position as co-captain of the PBS/RRR Megahertz and will be sorely missed by all at the station!
“It will be so sad to see Maddy leave The Breakfast Spread. She has made such a major contribution to the show, and is a close personal friend. She has helped evolve a stronger arts focus on the show with the Arts and Community Guide and State Of The Art segments and by developing other regular segments such as What's Going On, Gig Picks and her selections from the PBS Studio 5 Archive.” – Crispi, The Breakfast Spread co-host.
From 6-9am on the last Breakfast Spread of 2013, we’re inviting listeners to come down to the studio and grab a coffee, get some brekky on your way to work and farewell Maddy in true Breakfast Spread style.
