Co-presented by vital community radio stations PBS 106.7FM and Triple R 102.7FM, The Age Music Victoria Awards 2018 will take over their new home at Melbourne Recital Centre on Wednesday 21 November as part of Melbourne Music Week.
Each year, The Awards induct local legends into The Age Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame, recognising significant contributions to Victorian music and a commitment to sustaining the unique cultural fabric of our state. In 2018, The Age and Music Victoria are proud to announce the induction of Divinyls frontwoman and Victorian legend Chrissy Amphlett.
Molly Meldrum was also recently inducted at his statue unveiling in Richmond.
Hosted by beloved radio presenters, PBS' Lyndelle Wilkinson and RRR's Chris Gill, this year’s event will feature live performances from Baker Boy, Mildlife, Evelyn Ida Morris, Sampa The Great and Angie McMahon, performing their own standout tracks from the past 12 months.
The induction will be accompanied by a special performance from Ella Hooper with Dallas Frasca and speech from Little Pattie. Chrissy and Molly’s Hall of Fame entries join past inductee’s Triple R 102.7FM, John Farnham, AC/DC, Olivia Newton John, Archie Roach, Paul Kelly just to name a few.
