When suffering or malaise affect the Earth or its people, a call is put out to a group of individuals whose sole purpose is to regain and maintain planetary homoeostasis. Known as the Council of Elders, they congregate in a cavern deep under the Earth's crust known to the group as The Womb. Their work does not require external perception for validation or affectivity. Despite this, very rarely, the Council will congregate on the surface of the Earth, so as to give an audience a hint at the internal workings of their eternal and integral pursuit. Informed by Eastern and African music, free jazz and Krautrock, Council of Elders performances are always improvised, in an attempt to usher the listener into a communal, contemplative experience.
