Melbourne 8-piece posse The Counterfeit recently saddled up at Fight Night Records for a gunslinging set of spaghetti western tracks off their debut LP, 14 Killer Bullets From the Spaghetti West. The band performed interpretations of 6 red hot themes composed by Ennio Morricone and other brilliant composers of the genre, including classics like 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' and 'The Ecstasy Of Gold'.
After a sellout show with rave reviews at Brunswick Ballroom in September, The Counterfeit are gearing up to bring 'The Most Dangerous Show In Town' to Thornbury Theatre on February 4, 2023.
If February is too long a wait, then tune in to Swinging Doors on December 8 for our next Studio 5 presentation where you can hear excerpts from the band’s wonderful Fight Night session, carefully shared with you by Ernie, who is one of The Counterfeit’s biggest fans.
Studio 5 Live is proudly brought to you by our mates at Mountain Goat.
