Cross Pollinate returns in 2020 with a new spin and a new groove. Cross Pollinate focuses on amplifying the voices of female, trans and gender-non-conforming radio presenters, giving them a chance to exercise their radio muscles.
This year will see Hannah Thornell (SYN and PBS fill in presenter) curating and helping along some fresh voices on the airwaves. Each presenter will have four weeks on air to explore a theme, allowing them to settle in and make the studio their second home.
First up in the Cross Pollinate presenter rotation is Kelly Dingeldei (Zig Zag, Laura Imbruglia & the Bin Chickens) who'll be hopping on air with their program Stand Queer, taking the rainbow road through the Australian music, seeking out and highlighting queer artists in our local underground scene.
Originally part of PBS' Access and Diversity Program, Cross Pollinate will now open its doors to all women, trans and gender-non-conforming people who want to make their way in radio.
Catch Cross Pollinate on digital PBS every Tuesday from 7pm 'til 8pm. Kelly will be guest presenting from March 3 - 24 with a suite of musically minded legends to follow.
Cross Pollinate is also on facebook, follow them here.
