In the last 16 months Rev Gerry O has written in excess of 60 tunes that fuse, funk, soul, reggae and modern music together. Tunes such as Chinese Democracy and Supernatural have already received on air play on PBS. Chinese Democracy has already been filtered by the Chinese and is no longer accessible from China according to a listener, effectively banning the song. The original songs have a funk rhythm groove that is layered with melodic harmonies and counterpointed by strong lyrics. The songs have both a soul/funk component and a quirky/political message.
