Multicultural Arts Victoria’s Emerge in Yarra is celebrating 15 years by exploring new futures and new terrain, with a multilayered program of events presented at Schoolhouse Studios, Melba Spiegeltent and Sawtooth Studio from October 18-19, 2019.
Reflecting on cultural shifts in the arts landscape, Emerge in Yarra 2019 will be a series of dynamic events with a focus on CALD and PoC artists creating spaces to meet, generate new conversations and share their incredible work.
Schoolhouse Studios will host On Power, a series of conversation events programmed by Melbourne writer, curator and artist, Andy Butler.
The Melba Spiegeltent will host two not-to-be-missed live music events; Yeo’s Recovery Channel album preview party a genre bending production of contemporary R&B, pop and electronica.
And VIBE!, an audio-visual feast of some of the freshest new generation hip hop and soul talents. Hosted by PBS’ own MzRizk and featuring Pookie & special guests.
