Steve Passiouras has announced that after 17 years at PBS he has decided to hang up the headphones and wind up his long running show, Fret Net.
Fret Net started back in 2003 and has had two stints on the PBS program roster. Throughout that period Steve has celebrated guitar music (and quite a few bassists) from Australia and abroad, from the giants of the instrument to emerging local artists.
Steve has interviewed some of the most influential instrumentalists from across the genre spectrum and his program has been essential listening for those listeners obsessed with the guitar. As well as his on-air contribution, Steve has also helped behind the scenes with IT and membership. PBS thanks Steve for all the epic riffs, anacruses and wah wah and wishes him the very best for the future.
Tune in on Tuesday March 10 when Steve will say farewell on his final Fret Net program.
