Formed in 2016 by celebrated Australian-Iranian musician Gelareh Pour, Garden Quartet is Pour, Brian O'Dwyer, Arman Habibi and Mike Gallichio.
The band join us ahead of their self-titled debut album which delivers Australian contemporary music fusing elements of world music, avant garde, alternative/indie post-rock, dark ambient and romantic styles. Pour describes the theme of the album as 'more than one place' drawing on her experiences and stories from living and creating music in two very different cultures.
Pour has previously released three albums to widespread acclaim and is a contributing member of Boite Wolrd Music Cafe and Victoria's Iranian House of Music.
