Signed to UK label Eglo Hyperbolic producer, bassist & neo surrealist painter Kirkis explores the overlapping realms of future beats, punk and future jazz.
His Purplefruit for X-Ray Vision was released via Bandcamp in 2012 and started a flurry of worldwide attention from acclaimed DJ’s Gilles Peterson (BBC 6) Lefto (Studio Brussel) and Anthony Valadez (KCRW) and has been pegged as an artist to watch by Wax Poetics and Fact Magazine.
His LP Liverbleach will be released by Eglo Records in early 2014.
