Celebrating the future sound of yesterday and 21 years of Cookin’ On 3 Burners, Jake, Dan and Ivan have dropped their latest installment of organ laden funk jams on Lab Experiments Vol. 2, the highly anticipated sequel release to 2017’s Lab Experiments Vol. 1: Mixin’.
With collaborations galore, the album includes the recent dance floor filler ‘Warning’ featuring rising neo-soul singer Kaiit, as well as other hot collabs with The Meltdown’s resident heartbreaker and vocalist Simon Burke, soul queen Kylie Auldist and Chicago born, Melbourne-based, Fallon Williams, who lends his gritty vocals to the outfit’s latest single ‘Force of Nature’.
Smooth, slick and downright groovy as all hell, ‘Force Of Nature’ takes the tempo down a notch from ‘Warning’ whilst remaining nonetheless danceable with Williams’ impeccable rasp lifted to great heights throughout. A dark horse that builds and builds seemingly unnoticed until breaking out into a winning gallop, you best believe ‘Force Of Nature’ will have you moving to its feel good beat long beyond the finish line.
