Prolific Melbourne multi-instrumentalist/producer Lucianblomkamp is thrilled to share his new album 'Bad Faith', which was released today via Good Manners Records. The album features singles 'The Overman' and 'From Afar', and was named by Red Bull Music as 'one of the finest Australian albums you'll hear in 2016'.
On the album and the concept behind his art, 22-year old Lucianblomkamp explains 'Bad Faith is a contradiction. It is about everything and nothing. In some ways, its lack of meaning becomes its own deeper meaning. Similarly this reflects in the tracklist and my choice to have half the album instrumental and half the album featuring vocals'.
'Bad Faith' is the successor to the producer's exploratory 2014 debut 'Post-Nature'. The record put him squarely in people’s sights, along with its lead single 'Help Me Out', which was nominated for an AIR Award for 'Best Dance, Electronica or Club Single'.
Lucian went on to win FBi Radio’s Northern Lights competition, earning him a place on the lineup of the Iceland Airwaves Festival alongside Caribou and The Flaming Lips. He’s played at (among others) Splendour in the Grass, BIGSOUND, Melbourne Music Week, as well as supporting the likes of xxyyxx and Pantha Du Prince, and his follow-up promises to usher in even bigger things.
