Mammoth Mammoth are a Melbourne rock band that mash up their; stoner, glam, doom, punk psychedelic and personal influences - then focus on totally engaging their audience.
They describe their sound as ‘Patented-Good-time-murder-fuzz’.
And It is said its effect are: ‘capable of killing unicorns’ as well as being
‘more awesome than God’s tits!’
Their no-holds-barred shows gained an immediate following and saw them voted among the top 5 live shows by Melbourne Newspaper, The Age Entertainment guide.
On the release of their third album, they we’re immediately approached AND signed an international recording deal with European label, Napalm Records. Their album was released worldwide to excellent reviews in November 2012. The initial limited edition run of vinyl and CDs sold out in its first two months.
Consequently Mammoth Mammoth have featured in more than a dozen international Magazines like; Rock Hard France and Germany, HEAVY MAGAZINE France and Metal Hammer magazine’s German, French and UK editions – in which they were voted in at number two for ‘album of the month’ in December 2012. It has also been named among the top Heavy rock albums of 2012 in numerous music blogs of its genre.
Mammoth Mammoth are currently working with ICS Festival Services (Responsible for Wacken Open Air Festival in Europe) on their first Euro tour in November 2013.
