The aim of the PBS Blues Performer of the Year Contest (BPOYC) is to find the best possible blues band/artist/s to represent the MBAS and Australia in Memphis USA at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) 31st January – 4th February 2012.
The finals will be 5 – 10 pm Sunday 23rd October at the GH (Greyhound Hotel) 1 Brighton Rd St Kilda, cnr Carlisle St. $20 entry ($15 MBAS & PBS members)
The 12 entrants for 2011 will compete in 2 heats 7 – 11pm Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th October. The First, Second and Third place getters from each heat will make up the Six acts to perform in the Finals.
The heats will be held at the Royal Standard Hotel 333 William St West Melbourne, so come along to support the entrants. Good food, atmosphere and great blues music. $10 entry ($8 MBAS & PBS members)
