The Moon Lantern Festival has existed for 27 years in North Richmond. Historically it has been a cultural event for local residents and school children to build moon lanterns and parade through the North Richmond precinct.
This year however, from new management and additional support from the State Government, The Moon Lantern Festival for the first time will run as a three-day music and arts festival, held in the North Richmond Housing Estate (corner of Lennox and Highett streets.)
An enormous program across multiple stages over 3 days. With 50% of the program originating from local community art projects. The other 50% will come from some of Melbourne’s finest musicians and performers.
