On Monday February 26 PBS launches a new team to take listeners through the early hours as Sista Zai Zanda and Milo Eastwood present The Breakfast Spread every weekday between 6am and 9am.
Sista Zai brings to PBS many years of broadcasting including a background here at PBS where she initially did radio training and has presented shows for Babylon Burning and Flight 1067 to Africa. Zai is also incredibly active in the community, producing events and activities involving music, poetry and performance.
"It's a rare honour and privilege to be allowed into people's lives every morning. As the co-host of PBS' iconic show, The Breakfast Spread, I look forward to connecting with you all through music and sharing fun and memorable moments together."
Milo Eastwood will be very familiar to PBS’ morning listeners having regularly presented The Summer Spread and other programs on PBS over the last few years. Milo is a self-confessed ‘music tragic’ who has been involved in community radio and TV since he was 15 years old.
I am over the moon to be joining PBS and The Breakfast Spread in 2018. Having volunteered in community broadcasting for the past 9 years of my life I’m so excited to be able to throw myself into it full time! The music listened to in the morning can play such an important role in peoples’ day, so it will be an honour to spend that time with the PBS listeners every morning."
Joining Zai and Milo will be all the regular guests and segments you’ve come to expect, and of course the show will feature the most eclectic mix of specialist music on radio anywhere in the known universe.
