This week’s PBS Feature Album is Crime In Australia by noise-rock duo Party Dozen.

Following 2022’s The Real Work, the album that took Party Dozen to the USA, Europe (twice), Japan, China and New Zealand; the one that saw them hook up with US label Temporary Residence Ltd.; the one that made Bandcamp, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and a whole swathe of Australian radio stations declare it their Album of the Day/Week; and the one that made KEXP invite the band in for a live session, Crime In Australia continues to build on their arc, and elevates their ascent with a slew of new songs that are simultaneously more focused and more feral than anything they’ve ever done.

Across its ten tracks, Crime In Australia showcases the duo made up of Kirsty Tickle (saxophone) and Jonathan Boulet (percussion/sampler) absolutely unafraid to explore their ideas and as a result, goes places that are thrilling, visceral, face-melting, surprisingly danceable, and frequently ridiculous (often all at the same time).

Tune in all this week to hear tracks from Crime In Australia, and PBS Members have the chance to win a copy of the album on vinyl: simply email your name and membership number to    before midnight Sunday September 15. Please note vinyl giveaways must be picked up from the station in Collingwood.
