The Bombay Royale have been honoring and reviving the funky, bizarre and mysterious music of vintage Indian cinema and brought it to new audiences since their inception in 2012.
This newly released EP, available on both digital and 12’ formats, features 4 very different takes on the Phone Baja Na single thanks to the local talents of Pasiobinoic, Damn Moroda and Monkey Marc. There’s also an extra special original mix of the previously unreleased Bollywood psych funk instrumental, Sleeping Giant.
The Lead single is a bass heavy, head nodding Bollywood hypno-hop cut that will undoubtedly showcase the band’s music to newer audiences while staying true to what The Bombay Royale do, bringing the sound of the Golden Age of Bollywood back to the future, where it belongs.
