A tribute to Gil Scott-Heron. Vince Jones, Hue Blanes, N'fa Jones and Hailey Cramer unite to perform their stripped-back interpretations of Heron compositions live to air.

The self-proclaimed 'blues-ologist', known as the father of hip hop, Gil Scott-Heron's timeless work defied genres and moved between soul to jazz and beyond.
Born in Chicago in 1949, Gil Scott-Heron was a deeply influential musician and socio-political commentator. With more than 15 albums to his name, his politically charged pieces illuminate, transcend and push genre definition. Known as the ‘father of hip hop’ his music moved seamlessly through jazz, soul and blues in his 30 year career.
