Melbourne's adored charity football match Reclink Community Cup returns after a two-year hiatus. After a long two-year off-field break, this widely adored charity footy match featuring players from our very own PBS, plus RRR and some of Melbourne's best musicians is taking place at Victoria Park, Abbotsford on Sunday June 19, 2022.
In honour of distinguished Gunditjmara/Bundjalung singer-songwriter Archie Roach AM and his extraordinary and enduring musical and charitable contributions over the decades, the theme for the Cup’s 26th instalment is ‘Let Love Rule’ - a title taken from his seventh studio album and song of the same name.
The 2022 line up is stacked, and the day will feature sets from Ausecuma Beats, Cash Savage and the Last Drinks, Parsnip, Private Function and Izy.
A cornerstone event in Melbourne's cultural calendar and a crucial contribution to charity Reclink Australia’s annual fundraising efforts, this year's instalment marks the 26th iteration of the hottest head-to-head in town between the mighty PBS & RRR Megahertz and the rugged Rock Dogs (musicians).

The annual family-friendly showdown, which attracts over 10,000 patrons from all corners of Melbourne is Reclink Australia's largest fundraising event. In 2022, the event intends to bridge the gap of funding lost throughout the pandemic to continue to support local communities through Reclink's structured sport and recreation programs.
“Reclink has always talked about bringing people from isolation into inclusion… now Melbourne knows what isolation feels like and our mantra has become a national conversation,” says Reclink Australia CEO Dave Wells.
“The Reclink Community Cup has great significance within the community and provides a valuable, much-needed contribution to Reclink’s annual fundraising efforts.
"Our structured sport and recreation programs have been independently evaluated by La Trobe University, with proven results and improved life outcomes. Participants in Reclink’s programs include those experiencing mental illness, family violence, homelessness, social isolation, gambling harm, unemployment, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.”
The Melbourne leg of the Reclink Community Cup will be played at Victoria Park, Abbotsford on Sunday 19 June 2022, with gates open at 11:00 am.
Reclink Community Cup is proudly supported by media partners PBS and RRR.
