Dbeat stadium crust from Naarm/Melbourne Resistance are a three-piece made up of founding members Jay Allen, Riley Strong and Slick Rodgers who range almost three decades in age difference, but share a combined five decades of songwriting and international touring in extreme musical genres. The origins of Resistance are rooted in a shared love and interest in the dbeat and more recently coined stadium crust genres citing bands such as Tragedy, Wolfbrigade and From Ashes Rise as a starting point for song creation. In an era of limitless digital recording and releasing, Resistance have committed to a solid focus on the organic roots of live music and the grounding reality of 'in the room' instrumentation.
To celebrate the group's self titled first studio album release, Resistance stop by Burning Bitumen for a special Studio 5 Live performance. Tune in on Tuesday March 25 from 10pm to hear this special session and catch up with Kene.
