PBS 106.7FM is excited to announce the return of Rock-A-Bye Baby Music Sessions for 2019 with songwriting extraordinaire Ella Thompson hitting the stage 11am Thursday February 28 at Fitzroy Town Hall.

After taking time to focus on her collaborative projects, Thompson is back with new solo material for the first time since 2015, releasing her long-awaited EP Hysteria in November 2018.

Thompson presents energetic songwriting and rich vocalism, stretching contemporary styles of electronic composition with her unique lyricism and raw delivery. A keen collaborator, Thompson recently travelled across the country after being personally invited by Mark Ronson to accompany him on the Australian leg of his ‘Uptown Funk’ tour. Over the last ten years she has also fronted, written and recorded with The Bamboos, electro duo GL, and the nine-piece raucous Dorsal Fins.

PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby Music Sessions is a no-frills, daytime show for families of all ages and your chance to see a real band without fear of sugary drinks or costumed characters. Welcoming noise, encouraging crawling with dancing expected, PBS’ Rock-A-Bye-Baby music sessions are for adults and kids alike and feature artists from all genres and cultures. It’s our way of helping breed the next generation of punters in music-mad Melbourne.
