Rocket Science - Snake
Rocket Science play trashy-psychedelic-garage-punk with new wave, no-wave art-punk enthusiasm. The band's point of view is creative and inspired by Roman Tucker’s songwriting and influenced by the band's innovative take on music. Formed in mid-1998 the band has released four full-length albums and enjoyed numerous ep’s, singles and 12” releases both in Australia and overseas.
Described as one of the greatest bands to see live by Rolling Stone Magazine, Rocket Science has received accolades and excitement from all over the world. Throughout the noughties, Rocket Science toured extensively and released albums in the UK, Europe, US and Japan. After a 6-year hiatus Rocket Science returned to live gigging to perform at the Mick Blood (Lime Spiders) benefit in 2014, and with renewed vim and vigour have been slaying audiences all over the country since.
Playing the Golden Plains, Country Daze and headlining the Boogie Festival, they have supported the Stems on their Australian ‘At First Sight’ National tour and thrilled audiences with their own national tour last year. August 2019 sees the release of their 5th album Snake on local Melbourne indie imprint It Records.
