Charismatic frontman Ron S. Peno, returns to sing his favourite songs of his popular alt-rock band Died Pretty (1983-2012).
Unashamedly plundered rock's past to arrive at an original sound that was always passionate, atmospheric and uplifting.During that time, Died Pretty recorded 8 studio albums including the critically acclaimed “Doughboy Hollow” which they reformed to perform at the All Tomorrow’s Parties curated series, “Don’t Look Back” in 2008 which spiralled into a national tour for the Big Day Out in 2009. They would later reform in 2012 to perform as part of the Dig It Up! series of concerts around Australia, organised to celebrate 30 years of recorded music by fellow Australian band Hoodoo Gurus.
With no sign of another Died Pretty reformation on the horizon, this is your only chance to hear these songs sung by the man who injected so much energy into them more than 30 years ago.
Listen back to Mixing Up the Medicine with Erica, for a live set from Ron S. Peno.
