Tune in on Wednesday 22 January at 9am-11am to Roots of Rhythm Oz Bushfire Relief International Appeal and support some of Melbourne’s finest blues and roots musicians as they pour their music, heart and soul into raising funds for The Australian Red Cross bushfire relief fund.
Joining Helen Jennings OAM live on air will be Geoff Achison, The McNaMarr Project (Andrea Marr & John McNamara), Jimi Hocking, Kerri Simpson & Alison Ferrier. Plus messages of support from Fiona Boyes, Lloyd Spiegel and Jeff Lang.Also joining the show will be a representative from Parks Victoria with the latest news and information on the Australian bushfires, along with renowned blues music presenters Barry Maxwell (Blues on the Hill) and Denis 'Salty Dog' Trevarthan (representatives from Blues Music Victoria).
Helen and the team will be encouraging listeners to donate to The Australian Red Cross.
The Australian Red Cross is an internationally recognised organisation working closely with those effected by the fires. Information about how to support organisations working with Australian flora and fauna will also be discussed.
