by Hudson Mohawke
Glaswegian electronic producer/DJ Hudson Mohawke (aka Ross Birchard) is set to deliver a new kaleidoscopic 5-track EP, ‘Satin Panthers’, out this 29th of July on Warp through Inertia.
The follow-up to his 2009 debut album ‘Butter’, which triggered a frenzied ripple across the UK underground, ‘Satin Panthers’ is influenced by a variety of sounds, from 80s electronica to naughties R&B.
Self-describing his music as “emotronic soulfulness”, Hudson Mohawke has come a long way from being a fifteen-year old DJ competing in UK’s DMC comp, to a promising creative in the electronic world. After receiving praise from his contemporaries, including US producer Just Blaze (Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, Usher, Kanye West), Hudson Mohawke is set to expand his admirers with the eclectic new EP.
