Coming straight out of Melbourne with plentiful attitude, Producer/multi-instrumentalist Silentjay has teamed up with fellow Hiatus Kaiyote backing vocalist, Jace XL to present their unique strain of future leaning, retro rooted R&B.
Their Debut Mini-Album, ‘Sacrifice’, drops on Rhythm Section INTL label mid April and is already causing something of a stir. The more devoted fans among you may have already grabbed one of the limited edition cassette tapes – they flew out, prompting a follow up with a 12″ release.
At once sincere and heartfelt, the songs do not shy away from the playful influence of 90s RnB – a sound that is a defining influence on the record, which despite clocking in at just under 30 minutes, attains a level of artistry and conceptual cohesiveness that many artists could only dream of.
On stage, the duo marry a slick delivery of harmonised vocals with live keys and beats, never failing to work the audience into a sensual frenzy.
