Pierre Baroni's Soulgroove'66 program was a weekly touchstone for so many. Though each week's show (chronologically ordered, biographically annotated, played from lovingly collected original records) clearly involved a lifetime of preparation, Pierre presented it in such a relaxed, charming, chuckling manner that it felt like having a friend play you records, and when you asked "wow, what was that?" they could tell you everything about it. In tribute to Pierre's magnificent contribution to the airwaves, PBS presents this archive of his most requested shows. Play them when you need that touch of Pierre in your life. Bask in that voice. Picture that smile. Feel the grooves. Soul music lives forever.
