As music lovers, we're all ready for a return to normality and, a return to live music. In the interim, PBS has decided to bring the live vibe direct from artists' living rooms to yours with Sounds Like Home.
Sounds like Home highlights local, diverse and talented musicians from the community, with session delivering a brand new intimate recording from an artist you love; delivered immediately from artist to listener.
Tune in to Radio City on Thursday June 4 as we continue the Sounds Like Home vibes with guitar-pop five-piece Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.
The band join us for this session after a considerable time spent overseas and in the lead up to their second record, Sideways to New Italy. Lead by singer-songwriter-guitarists Tom Russo, Joe White and Fran Keaney (and rounded out by bassist Joe Russo and drummer Marcel Tussie), the band began grasping for something reliable after emerging from relentlessly touring their critically regarded debut Hope Downs.
Sounds Like Home was dreamed up by PBS and is proudly supported by the City of Melbourne COVID-19 Arts Grants.Cover image by Peter Ryle.
