Tamara Murphy presents TMT, her debut album featuring a mix of specially curated originals and covers from the likes of The Beatles, Thom Yorke and Bernie McGann.
TMT is the newest project from Tamara Murphy, in collaboration with two of Melbourne’s most creative instrumentalists Stephen Magnusson (guitar) and James McLean (drums). These members have worked together in many different configurations over the years and have now formed an exciting new unit.
Their debut album gives the feeling of being at one of their gigs – it’s raw and freely builds then takes apart their repertoire in different ways, exploring many different textures, moods and sonic worlds in their own true way. Tamara Murphy appears on over 50 albums by others and has released 10 albums under her own name. Her albums have been nominated for The Age Genre Awards, AIR awards and The Bell Awards.
