As most listeners would know, The Teskey Brothers have a long history of airplay at PBS. Helen Jennings OAM (Roots of Rhythm) first became aware of Josh and Sam Teskey as teenagers when she was judging a talent quest for Eltham Jazz & Blues Festival. She was very impressed, and invited them to perform live on Roots of Rhythm during the school holidays. Over the years she followed their progress, interviewing them, playing their music and inviting them to play a Studio 5 Live for Roots of Rhythm's 30th anniversary show in 2017.
"It was so clear from a very early age, that Josh & Sam were immensely talented. With dedication & hard work over the years, they have now garnered many awards & world wide recognition, which is very much deserved." says Helen.

Having joined us in the studio not once but twice, this session will include early and favourite tracks from the band and demonstrate their amazing journey from the pubs of Warrandyte to international stardom. The Teskey Brothers' Studio 5 Live sessions were originally broadcast on Roots of Rhythm on February 22, 2017 and on Homebrew on October 22, 2018.
