While in-person NAIDOC Week events have been postponed until November, coming together is still instrumental to healing. There are a few ways that you can celebrate NAIDOC Week online this weekend, including the Vic NAIDOC 2020 Concert “Always Was Always Will Be”, happening this Saturday from 6.30pm on Facebook, YouTube and via vicnaidoc.com.au.
The huge line-up includes Archie Roach, Troy Cassar-Daley, Kutcha Edwards, Lady Lash, Mau Power, Scott Darlow, Alice Skye, Shiralee Hood, Dion Williams, Allara and much more - plus a yarn or two - all streamed from Hamer Hall to your living room. You can find more information here.
You can also get amongst the after party, happening on Zoom and with PBS volunteer DJ T-Roy behind the decks. Clothing The Gap will be doing hourly giveaways for best dancer, and you can add songs to the afterparty playlist here: https://forms.gle/TYENeMxc1aM6dUCQ9
