UPDATE - VENUE CHANGE

We Out Here Festival have released a statement regarding the change of venue for this weekend's event.

"We are shattered to announce that our day-party at Flockhart Reserve has fallen victim to severe weather warnings including show-stopper thunderstorms and potential flooding.

We’ve been glued to BOM all week monitoring weather reports, though after further consultation with authorities, health and safety, and event organisers, we have no choice but to relocate our event.

Please know that we explored every possible option to make Flockhart Reserve happen! All the hard work, love and creativity that has gone into planning such a special outdoor event made it nearly impossible to accept such an outcome. However, nothing is more important than the safety of our patrons, staff and performers, which would be compromised if we were to go ahead.

But as always, the show must go on.

The various extreme weather conditions we’re all living with at the moment can’t dampen these beautiful family affairs. Our community has come together to work with us on solutions to deliver all this amazing music. So here is the plan:

We have relocated our arvo/evening session to 170 Russell, and have thickened up the after-party at Colour Club to give you over 13 hours of musical celebration & exchange. Current Flockhart Reserve ticket holders have access to both events, all day and all night. You can still purchase tickets to both events. We’re almost certain that neither of these venues will flood! Or get struck by lightning (touch wood)! We still want to dance and listen, and raise money for the Firesticks Alliance together, and we can’t wait to see this baby through with you all."

Crown Ruler & We Out Here Festival announce their first event together after their connection through music and community in Cambridge last year.  In celebration now extending beyond the UK, they’ll be uniting an absolute all – star lineup of local artists alongside the man Gilles Peterson himself.

In a time that’s emotionally raw and devastating for the people and Country of our continent, Crown Ruler and We Out Here will be using this opportunity to contribute to Bushfire aid and an ultimately brighter future.  Ticket sale and profits will go to Firesticks Alliance, an Indigenous-led organisation who take care of Country and facilitate workshops and projects on Cultural Fire Practices for Custodians all over our continent.
