Marysville in Victoria’s Yarra Valley is one of those beautiful parts of the world where community spirit, a love of the arts, and an idyllic location all make it a perfect destination for a weekend music festival.
Murrindindi Shire awarded Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend 'Best Community Event of the Year' in 2015 and 2016, and the much-loved weekend away will again take place on October 18-20. The festival is perfect for anyone looking for a picturesque weekend filled with new friends, amazing performances, and break from the daily grind.
Today the hard-working community team behind Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend are delighted to announce the first round of artists who will be gracing the many stages and venues around the township that weekend.
The line-up for the festival’s 5th year will feature Melbourne soul legends Vika & Linda Bull, Karen Lee Andrews - whose rise began some time ago as ‘Ms. Murphy’ on TV show The Voice, WA blues prodigy Matty T Wall, the awesome 19-piece big band power of Big Band Frequency, the African/Australian colab project Senegambian Jazz Band, and travelling troubadour Frank Sultana.
