It feels like PBS has been talking about a new home forever and now the time has finally come.
It’s going to be amazing but it’s also expensive, particularly with the challenges we’ve had keeping the music on air during COVID. We’re really hoping people who love the station will continue to support us through this time by donating towards the move to help us Make It Home.
The current cost projection of building and fitting our new station is $2.2 million.
We have managed to raise around 70% of the funds so far.
PBS needs your help to Make It Home as we move to The Collingwood Yards.
We are about to embark on a game-changing new venture - and we need your help! The lease on our building is expiring, the landlord has sold the property and
we need to move out and start again. The good news is that we've been named the anchor tenant of the new not-for-profit Collingwood Arts Precinct - a place for organisations dedicated to music and other creative endeavours.
The challenge is that the move, renovations and studio build will cost us in excess of $1.5 million.
We've managed to raise just under half of the funds through support from the Victorian Government (through the Community Support Fund), the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust and The Community Broadcasting Foundation.
We're also extremely grateful for the support we received via matched funding from Creative Partnerships Australia via Plus 1, as well as support from many others
