Bush Music Festival returns on November 15th at Cactus Room with a fantastic lineup featuring Elwyn (Perth), Dominique, Fiz Eustance and Girls Rock alumni, The Vovos.
Girls Rock focuses on empowering young cis and trans women and non-binary kids through music and performance. This coming January they host two weeks of camp rather than their usual one and will need as much help as they can get funding the program and getting kids to camp.
Bush Music Festival focuses on making stages around Melbourne more diverse. With this event they aim to raise $1000 to fund two campers who would otherwise be unable to attend camp.
ELWYN
Elwyn hails from Girls Rock WA, has spent time at Girls Rock SB and attended her first Girls Rock Melbourne camp in September. She's bringing her 6 piece soul-pop band over to Melbourne to grace our ears with some groovy goodness.
DOMINIQUE
Moody pop meets sultry lounge. Another loyal Girls Rock! volunteer back to donate her voice to the cause. Dominique writes for herself and the lovely side effect is that we get to hear her music.
Fiz Eustance
Folk-poppy toons with self-described 'spicy indie folk twinkles'. Fiz Eustance also hails from WA but is now firmly embedded in Melbourne and the Girls Rock! Community.
The Vovos
Girls Rock Melbourne alumni, The Vovos have been rocking stages around Melbourne since their debut in 2018. They've got sweet jams about marrying a venus fly trap, melodrama and first world problems.
---
Bush Music Festival, Girls Rock! Melbourne, The Cactus Room and all performers wish to acknowledge the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation whose land we work, perform and live on. 'Melbourne' is on un-ceded sovereign lands. Treaty has never been signed. Always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.
