If you like to buy your music online, and you care about positive change, you might be interested in knowing about Bandcamp's latest campaigns.
Tonight from 5pm, a group of labels and artists have got together to make donations from sales to various fundraisers across the world. This includes some Australian labels, donating to local campaigns; Dinosaur City Records, Future Classic, Hobbledehoy, Osborne Again, Solitaire Recordings just for starters. Check it out here.
Then from this coming June 19, from midnight to midnight, for any purchase you make on Bandcamp, they will be donating 100% of their share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, an American organisation that has a long history of effectively enacting racial justice and change through litigation, advocacy, and public education.
Through buying your music either tonight or on June 19 it's another small way we can all help support community in the ongoing struggle against racism.
