September at Metal Central features Australia’s biggest prog/power band, EYEFEAR, and our first interstate band, TABERAH, from Tasmania.
With their introspective, psychologically themed lyrics, EYEFEAR’S tight musical live show is as impressive as it is loud. With the longest hair in Aussie metal, the incredibly talented DANNY CECATI has the voice of an angel – an angel that happens to be holding the world’s largest megaphone – with the former PEGAZUS singer channelling the might and power of BRUCE DICKINSON (IRON MAIDEN). EYEFEAR have defined the modern quest for musical perfection with an incredibly music score that combines elements of IRON MAIDEN and DREAM THEATER.
With the new, soon-to-be-released album called The Inception of Darkness and the coveted support slot for German power metal heavyweights BLIND GUARDIAN (September/October 2011), now is the time to check out one of Australia’s finest bands.
Supporting EYEFEAR are Taswegians TABERAH – in Melbourne for the very first time. Think denim and leather clad warriors on horseback galloping directly into an old school heavy metal storm. Guitars held high. Drinks held high. Their traditional sound is subjugated with elements of IRON MAIDEN, AC/DC’s rock’n’roll heart and the tongue-in-cheek (that’s cheek) theatrics of QUEEN, TABERAH were born to play live.
TABERAH will have their brand new album, THE LIGHT OF WHICH I DREAM, available for sale on the night.
